What is Red Ribbons™ - Red Ribbons™ started as a 4:01 minute long dance piece (about sexual child abuse) choreographed by Noelle Rose Andressen. It was used as a vessel to convey a message of understanding and hope to her ballet teacher who had helped her rebuild her body after surviving breast cancer. When there are no words or it's too overwhelming to use words, Noelle Rose Andressen, found it was safer to share her story of overcoming a tragedy with triumph by using dance. 

Extending Love & Help – Immediately after her first performance of "Red Ribbons™" in 2008, a woman approached her and fell into her arms with tears, "Thank you for saying with dance what I couldn't with words."  She then realized that she had something magnificent that could not only entertain people but help them heal or perhaps take the first steps to getting healed.

Mission Statement – What was meant for one heart turned into many as Noelle Rose™ went on a mission to help heal those who had been abused as she had been by using arts and entertainment. 

Growth – Red Ribbons™ has turned into a very successful dance production & company that provides: 

• Red Ribbons™ outReach - a community outreach geared towards children & teaches them healthy choices and how to stand up to abuse and get help from safe adults. It also uses the arts and incorporates the children in a performance.
• Red Ribbons™  the film - a dramatic re-telling of hope: How Noelle Rose Andressen overcame her sexual abuse. This is primarily for adults, but children are always welcome provided parents & guardians use discretion.
• Red Ribbons™ book series - Noelle Rose uses analogy in sharing this fairy tale based on her true life story. This is appropriate for mature children in hopes to help them not only enjoy the many adventures of the heroine, but to also gain strength learning about how good triumphs over evil. Intelligently told in an entertaining way that even adults have enjoyed this series.
• Red Ribbons™ animated film - based on the book series, our heroine travels on many adventures using her magic Red Ribbons™ to vanquish her foes, heal broken hearts, and set children free. 
• Red Ribbons™ dance concerts - the original 4:01 minute dance has been expanded into a full length Dance-Drama™ performed by Rubans Rouges Dance. It is predominantly dance based with elements of song, theater, and beloved elements of the American Musical. There are two versions of this presentation, one for children and one for adults.
• Red Ribbons™ doll series - These dolls are beautiful creations that represent girls and boys that are in the book series. Why it was decided to make a doll series: "We wanted to encourage and comfort. There may be another little girl (or boy) out there who would feel comforted in knowing that another little girl is now a thriving young woman has overcome abuse."

Purpose - Although this site and Red Ribbons™ shares the story of overcoming abuse, we will be disseminating information that will help parents help their children. We feature items that are geared towards children, but it is intended on being a site for parents and guardians.
